We believe that the view we present, that of god's word as seen through the eyes and culture of the people who wrote down what god had inspired -- the old testament jews, is the only way to completely understand god's word and his plan for the restoration of man to his presence. "Peace on earth" means peace with god; without this there is no possibility for true peace. God's plan is all about establishing his peace through the giving of his Son as the final, ultimate perfect sacrifice for the sins of man. Through "shalom" we attempt to present this message in a way that brings greater depth and vivid understanding to god's word. We hope that you have enjoyed this approach, and that you will share "shalom" with your friends and relatives around the world. how jesus fulfills
this sacred appointment with god as the prophesied "lamb of god". The Passover
fore-shadows the messiah to come, and we must understand god's plan in this. To call it
"the last supper" completely obscures what god wanted us to see. It was a
Passover dinner, and everything that Jesus said and did that evening must be viewed
in the context of the "Seder" to fully understand what Jesus is teaching us.

Why did paul and the apostles continue to participate in all the traditions of their Jewish culture right up until their deaths, in partic-ular, the yearly festivals of lev. 23? Paul understood that the feast-days were a blueprint from god revealing the first and second coming of Jesus to the earth. The fall feasts fore-shadow and teach god's program for the end of this age. They also are the foundational background to clarify the second coming of christ, as the gospels and epistles are written in the language of the Jewish festivals. |

the word "gospel" was derived from the ancient Hebraic word "Basar". Because the full meaning of this great promise from god is only partially known today, the teachings within Christ-ianity today make the first coming of Christ the complete good news. This is an unbalanced teaching, as christ is actually the agent of "the basar". His first coming would merely set into action the beginning of the restoration of "the basar": but the return of Christ at the end of the age will complete "the good news of the kingdom of god" ("basar") every christian should know this message for clarity of god's will and to comfort and encourage each other as this age draws closer. |
